Awesome food!

Food is great, server's are sweet, kid friendly. 1 of my 6 year olds favorite places to eat.

I have visited here a few times, tried a few dishes, and loved every bite. Large servings, amazing food. You will never walk out of here disappointed. Most definitely my favorite place for food here in the Soo. Just be aware, payment here is cash only.

4 people 3 glasses of water and the 4th never came, over cooked fries, lack of children's meal options and hamburgers, fries for 3 adults and one ceasar 70.00 with 3 lemonades and a Pepsi..its not at all like old Earnies bread crumb filler in the burger boo

Food is average, the prices used to be fair and portions decent but not for some time now as they kept raising the prices and cutting back the portions.. They don't take credit or debit cards and shortchange American visitors with a "U.S. MONEY AT PAR" POLICY. The waitresses are good and usually friendly, but the staff in the kitchen are moody, even grouchy and don't look like they really want to be there, I started eating elsewhere some time ago. Hopefully the new owner will adjust the prices to be more reasonable, but I doubt it. We helped the former owners retire as millionaires.

I love this place. I try to stop in every time I happen to be in the Sault. Friendly staff great food great prices. What more can you say . 5 star enjoyment.

A dining experience that is rare in the Soo - around fifteen modern, excellent dishes on the weekly-rotating menu with locally-sourced seasonal ingredients. A nice patio right downtown and friendly staff.It was an extremely positive surprise to have gone to Ernie’s only to find it under new ownership. The coffeeshop/diner has been modernised tastefully without omitting its history. Good luck to John & staff with his restaurant - I cannot recommend it enough.

Excellent place for breakfast or lunch in the heart of Sault Ste. Marie ON. The staff is friendly and the food is plentiful and delicious. Be prepared - cash only!

Very small cozy old school diner. What it lacks in ambience it absolutely makes up for it with some of the most delicious home cooked food. Be aware they are closed Sunday and Monday. Great burger, soup, homemade pie. Seriously quit reading this and go grab a meal. You won’t be disappointed.

Just like the old days with a non usable juke box at every table. Food was great and lots of it.

Subpar service, and food wad nothing crazy. Cost $25 for breakfast for two people...eggs and bacon. If it was cheaper I could understand but for that price go elsewhere. Also all the 5 star reviews are locals drumming up their own businesses. Not worth it!

Came here on recommendation from a friend. I found the food and prices very average. Not bad but nothing too special. Staff were mixed friendly and not. Place has a cute old school diner feeling. Overall not bad.

Great old fashioned style diner. Went for breakfast and was very good, love the homemade bread that went with the breakfast. I will definitely be going back to give diner a try.

Amazing, fresh and local fare. Started with a kohlrabi/cucumber salad with dill/feta. I had the East Coast Style local whitefish w/ roast potatoes. Also had a bite of a fried chicken sandwich in a Nashville hot sauce. Finished with a big slice of coconut cream pie. I will be back to go through the rest of the menu. So GOOD!

Enjoyed the new sidewalk Patio with umbrellas yesterday afternoon. Also had the most delicious & biggest hamburger in my life. Service was wonderful!Will be a new regular customer.

The burgers are absolutely epic. Came in looking for a coffee but ended up with one of the nicest burgers from here to waterloo. Eat here for a large, not greasy, burger with fresh topping.

Ernie's Cafe is exactly that! A place where everyone knows your name, with good food, large portions for a very affordable price. All food is made on site in their kitchen, even the decadent cream pies! The lady waitresses are fast, efficient, and know how to serve like an old fashioned cafe. It's a local hangout.

So delicious and great service.. I got the chicken dinner and wasn't disappointed at all. Ernie's is consistently delicious and I've yet to be disappointed in a meal from there.

Great to see them back open after the lockdown. Outdoor seating available. Only a few tables but the food is worth the wait. Price per person usually around $15 - $20

I have been a loyal customer for years. Each menu item is made fresh while you enjoy freshly ground and brewed Columbian coffee.Tour of Italy, for myself, is the best example of truly homemade Italian cuisine.It's a diner I would recommend to anyone who is hungry. You are likely taking home a doggy bag too.

Had the ever popular and Classic Ernies breakfast. Have not been there in about 40 years...nothing has changed. Great food and value. Hey it's a Soo Icon what else can I say. Well done Ernie and staff.

A genuine landmark eatery in the Soo. I have memories of eating here since I was a young girl, playing music on the jukeboxes and portion sizes have always been large and quality of food has been top notch for as long as I can remember. The staff always make you feel at home.
